Jaya Lakshmi Manager-Admissions is a soft spoken, open-minded, hardworking member and deals with parents with utmost courtesy. Clear and convincing communication, positive attitude, meticulous planning, ever smiling nature, emotional intelligence being her strengths she deals with the entire Admission Process of the school. She even conducts skype interactions to parents who seek admissions from abroad.
She has been working in the school for about 12 years and was instrumental in contributing her best in the expansion of the school. She joined Silver Oaks in 2006 and has proved to be the right choice for this post.
She will be the right person to convey her parental experience to the parents who seek admissions as both her kids passed out of the school with flying colours and are into renowned universities. The IB Learner Profile and Stephen R.Covey’s 7 Habits that were the integral part of the school had helped her kids to develop strong leadership qualities.
She strongly believes that exams are not the ultimate goal for education, real education is when you use the knowledge acquired through Education is helping us to make this world a better place to live. She involves herself in all the events and is always enthusiastic to take on extra responsibilities and make sure to fulfill them meticulously and with ease. She facilitates the happening of Board Exams, planning Field trips as per the requirements of the concerned grade level and coordinates with the CSR program of the school.
She appreciates good company and believes that being surrounded by cheerful people will make you much more cheerful and pleasant. She says a pleasant talk acknowledging the concerns from the parents can resolve any type of issues. She dislikes getting into controversies. She enjoys being engaged with work and hates to be idle.
Though her role in the school is admin related she involves herself in the academic discussions and was a part of many academic related workshops and training. She attended 2 IB workshops Making PYP Happen and Inquiry into PYP.
She also completed Project Zero course from Harvard University in Differentiated Instructions and the Global Career Counseling course from Univariety .
She expresses that the school has given her a lot - Knowledge, Leadership qualities, Emotional intelligence, Work Etiquettes, International Mindedness, Organizational and communicational Skills which in turn helped her to be a better person. She says she has even learnt from parents and students.
